1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions apply to the use of Sunlit Cardhouse, a Kiwii Play concept that combines a coastal Australian restaurant with a dedicated Card Lounge for in-person poker and social card-room gatherings. They govern your experience across our restaurant spaces, poker salon, card lounge, and any related services offered onsite or through our website at https://kiwiiplay.com.

By outlining how we host dinner, drinks and offline poker nights, this document aims to support a safe, respectful and welcoming environment for guests, staff and hosts, whether you are joining us for a seasonal meal, a relaxed Texas Hold’em table, or a private card room event.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing Sunlit Cardhouse, making a reservation, attending our restaurant, visiting the Card Lounge, or participating in any offline poker event or social card-room activity, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, together with any venue-specific house guidelines and policies displayed onsite or communicated by staff.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms and Conditions, you should not visit the venue, participate in face-to-face poker activities, or continue to use the Kiwii Play website. Continued use of the restaurant, card lounge or poker salon areas following any updates to these terms constitutes acceptance of the revised conditions.

3. Venue Usage

Sunlit Cardhouse is designed as a shared coastal club environment where dining, conversation and social poker can unfold naturally. To protect the space and ensure a positive experience for all, guests agree to:

• Respect all restaurant, bar, terrace and Card Lounge areas, including furnishings, poker tables, playing cards, poker chips and decorative pieces.
• Follow all reasonable requests and instructions issued by our management team, floor staff and poker hosts, especially in relation to safety, capacity, seating plans and card room configuration.
• Use only designated tables and areas for offline poker, Texas Hold’em nights and card-room gatherings, and refrain from moving poker equipment without approval.
• Keep aisles, access points and exits clear at all times and store personal belongings so they do not obstruct the movement of guests or staff.
• Refrain from bringing your own food or beverages into the venue unless expressly approved as part of a pre-arranged private event.

We reserve the right to reallocate tables, Card Lounge seating or restaurant zones as required for service, events and operational needs.

4. Offline Poker Events Participation

Sunlit Cardhouse hosts a calendar of offline poker activities, including social poker evenings, Texas Hold’em tables, hosted poker sessions and casual card-room gatherings. Participation in these face-to-face poker experiences is optional and always framed as a relaxed, social activity centred on hospitality and conversation.

By taking a seat at one of our poker tables, you agree to:

• Observe house poker table etiquette, including waiting your turn, handling playing cards and poker chips with care, and treating fellow players and hosts with courtesy.
• Comply with any format or structure set out for the specific poker event, including table limits on duration, seating capacity and scheduled breaks.
• Follow the guidance of the host or dealer regarding seating, card distribution, card room rules and the orderly progression of Texas Hold’em hands.
• Refrain from any behaviour that disrupts the social nature of the table, including intimidation, aggressive comments, or persistent criticism of the way others choose to play.
• Use mobile devices discreetly so that they do not interfere with play, conversation or the shared table experience.

Sunlit Cardhouse may limit or refuse participation in offline poker events where a guest’s behaviour is inconsistent with the relaxed, inclusive atmosphere of the poker salon.

5. Bookings & Reservations

Reservations help us balance restaurant dining with Card Lounge activity and hosted poker evenings. Bookings can be requested via our Contact Us page or through any official Kiwii Play channel made available on the website.

By placing a booking, you agree that:

• All information you provide (including contact details, time preferences and approximate group size) is accurate and kept up to date if plans change.
• Requested seating in the Card Lounge or near poker tables is subject to availability and operational requirements on the day.
• You will inform us as early as possible if your numbers change, especially for larger tables that include an offline poker component.

Where applicable, we may communicate specific cancellation or modification windows for restaurant and poker-related bookings. Late arrivals, significant reductions in guest numbers or non-attendance may affect your future access to peak-time reservations or special poker event seating.

6. Private Events

Sunlit Cardhouse offers tailored private events that can combine shared modern Australian food, craft cocktails and a hosted card room or poker salon experience. These occasions are arranged directly with our events team and may include exclusive or partial use of the Card Lounge or restaurant areas.

By confirming a private event, you acknowledge that:

• Specific event terms, including any deposit amounts, minimum spend thresholds, timing requirements and bespoke offline poker formats, will be documented in your event agreement.
• Deposits, where required, are generally non-transferable and may be non-refundable if the event is cancelled outside the agreed cancellation window.
• Changes to event size, menu selections, card room configurations or poker table requirements must be requested within the timeframe indicated by our events team.
• You are responsible for communicating these Terms and Conditions, and any additional event-specific rules, to your guests attending the private gathering.

We reserve the right to adjust or cancel private events where health, safety or operational factors make it necessary to do so. In such cases, we will work with you in good faith to explore alternative arrangements.

7. Code of Conduct

Sunlit Cardhouse is intended to feel like a relaxed coastal club, where guests can enjoy thoughtful modern Australian dishes, a careful drinks list and the easy rhythm of in-person poker evenings. To protect this atmosphere, we expect all guests to:

• Treat staff, hosts and fellow guests with courtesy and respect at all times, in both the restaurant and Card Lounge.
• Refrain from language, gestures or behaviour that could reasonably be considered harassing, discriminatory, threatening or exclusionary.
• Participate in social poker, Texas Hold’em tables and card room culture in a way that prioritises conversation, shared enjoyment and fair treatment of others.
• Observe any house guidelines relating to photography, audio or video recording within the venue, particularly around poker tables and private events.
• Follow any direction from staff regarding noise levels, rearrangement of seating or the timing of Card Lounge access during busy periods.

Sunlit Cardhouse may, at its discretion, ask guests to leave or decline service where conduct is inconsistent with this code or poses a risk to the comfort or safety of others.

8. Age Restrictions

To align with Australian legal requirements and our own commitment to responsible hosting, age restrictions apply to certain parts of the venue and poker activities. While guests of different ages may enjoy the restaurant in accordance with local laws and our licensing conditions, participation in poker salon activities is limited.

In particular:

• Guests must meet the applicable legal age requirements in the relevant Australian jurisdiction to take part in offline poker events, Texas Hold’em tables or card-room gatherings that we designate as age-restricted.
• We may request valid identification before granting access to specific Card Lounge sessions or poker tables.
• Parents or guardians remain responsible for supervising any minors in permitted restaurant areas and ensuring they do not enter restricted poker spaces.

We reserve the right to refuse entry to, or remove, any guest from age-restricted areas where appropriate identification cannot be produced upon request.

9. Liability and Responsibility

Sunlit Cardhouse and Kiwii Play take reasonable care in the design, maintenance and daily operation of the restaurant and Card Lounge. Even so, guests acknowledge that they enter and use the venue at their own risk and remain responsible for their own decisions and actions while onsite.

Without limiting any rights you may have under Australian consumer law, you agree that:

• You are responsible for the safekeeping of your personal belongings, including items left at tables, in the Card Lounge, near poker tables or in shared spaces.
• You will use care when moving around the venue, particularly near steps, transitions between indoor and outdoor areas, and around seated guests and servers.
• You will handle poker equipment, including cards and chips, reasonably and will report any damaged furniture or fixtures to staff promptly.
• To the extent permitted by law, Sunlit Cardhouse and Kiwii Play are not liable for loss, damage or injury arising from misuse of venue spaces, disregard of staff instructions, or conduct that falls outside these Terms and Conditions.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to exclude or limit any non-excludable guarantees or rights you may have under Australian law.

10. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property associated with Sunlit Cardhouse and Kiwii Play is protected. This includes, without limitation, the venue name, branding, logos, menu typography, card lounge and poker salon designs, website layout, copywriting, Poker Salon Journal articles, offline poker guides, photography, illustrations, hand-drawn card-suit graphics and any custom diagrams of poker tables or card room configurations.

Unless expressly authorised in writing by Kiwii Play, you must not reproduce, distribute, adapt, publish, frame, mirror or commercially exploit any part of the website, menu designs, editorial content or visual material relating to Sunlit Cardhouse. You may, however, view the site, download short excerpts for personal reference and share public-facing pages via standard social sharing tools, provided that any such use is fair, accurate and attributed to Kiwii Play.
